Choppers have enjoyed a large following. Companies like Jesse G. James' West Coast Choppers have been successful in producing expensive traditional chopper-style bikes and a wide range of chopper-themed brands of merchandise such as clothing, automobile accessories and stickers.
The chopper industry has seen a recent rise in the mixing of celebrities and choppers. In 2008 Cheetah Choppers, in partnership with Savage Cycles, launched a line Collectors Edition celebrity choppers. The first chopper in the series featured Denver Broncos Hall of Fame quarterback John Elway. Only 20 motorcycles in the series were produced with 18 being made available to the public. The use of the Hall of Fame quarterback in the production of a chopper line further highlighted the rising popularity of merging celebrities and sports figures with choppers.
